Unlocking the Potential of Tourism: Kasese Municipality Hands Over Office Space to Miss Tourism Rwenzori
Kasese municipality have handed over a spacious office space to Miss Tourism Rwenzori to strengthen their operations which among others include tourism promotion in the Kasese region.
The town clerk of Kasese through his Deputy Kambasu Kayiri fulfilled the pledge that had been made three years through the then Mayor and current minister of State for ICT Hon Kabyanga Godfrey.
The office which is in the one stop center will be the official address of Miss Tourism Rwenzori.
The reigning queen, Miss Tourism Rwenzori Sarah Kenyana Rusoke noted that;
“It feels great to have witnessed what was promised during the reign of my predecessors, the former Queen Esther Biira through efforts of former Queens, Daphine Kajumba, Doreen Biira Queen, Masika Doreen and Esther Biira all under a great coordination of our cluster head Bismac Amumpaire Moses.”
"We are greatly honored to have received an official address now. The lack of an address was a big hindrance." Said Doreen Biira Queen the Brand Manager and former Queen of Miss Tourism Rwenzori.
"The move by the Kasese municipal council demonstrates its commitment to promoting tourism and economic development in the area. By partnering with Miss Tourism Rwenzori, the council can leverage the organization's expertise and resources to promote the area's attractions and increase the number of tourists. On behalf of Miss Tourism Rwenzori, We thank the town clerk and entire management of Kasese Municipality." She added.
The head of the Rwenzori cluster, Mr. Bismac Amumpaire noted that the move not only unlocks the potential of an existing resource but also demonstrates the council's commitment to collaborating with other sectors for the benefit of the Kasese region.
The town clerk through his Deputy Kambasu Kayiri pledged full support to girl child initiatives like Miss Tourism and gives a paramount call to everyone in the region to support this initiative.
