East African Medical Vitals to supply the Republic of South Sudan with quality Medical gloves.
During a visit at the East African Medical Vitals in Kampala on Tuesday, A South Sudan delegation led by the under Secretary Ministry of Health was impressed by the works and level of professionalism exhibited during the manufacture of health supplies that included surgical gloves at EAMV.
According to Dr Gibzon Nafana the Deputy Director General of Juba Teaching Hospital, this visit is the first step towards a long term partnership aimed at supplying quality medical supplies in South Sudan.
In his speech Dr. Gibzon called for the need of East African member states to cooperate, collaborate and Support East African ventures such this for it is a step towards the sustainable development of the region.
For the period of five years now, the EAMV factory at Namanve industrial park has managed to establish its self as the first and only Supplier of surgical and examination gloves in East and central Africa and this innovation is expected to benefit the Regions Health sector in in the long run for stake holders will ably afford examination and surgical gloves.

According to EAMV Chairman Mr. Ben Kavuya the company is currently employing over 200 young people and with plans to expand the production of supplies to include condoms and syringes, he however says this expansion is currently limited by funding even when land for expansion is readily available.
The under secretary Ministry of Health of the Republic of South Sudan Dr. Victoria Anib Majur also the the leader of the delegation was overly impressed by the operations at the facility and committed to bring in trainees from South Sudan to benefit from the skills witnessed.
“We will also be exploring the Drug & Food control Authority of South Sudan and partner with our counterparts in Uganda to support our laboratory ’’ she said.
In his remarks, the commissioner of Health services Mr. Nevile Okuna Oteba applauded EAMV for solving the scarcity of medical supplies in Uganda and pledged Ministry’s continued support.
According to Okuna, the Ministry is already supporting the facility through guidance and inspection since submission of the architectural plan up-to when they installed the equipment for this was one of the kind development in Uganda and as the Ministry they needed to take all necessary precautions.
The manufacture and packaging of these gloves happens at the Factory.
