His Majesty Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV, the King of Tooro Kingdom, is currently on a royal visit to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, one of Uganda’s most celebrated conservation areas.
Hosted by the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), King Oyo embarked on a gorilla trekking expedition, a highlight of Uganda’s tourism offerings. The visit forms part of his broader 25-year development agenda, which prioritizes promoting Uganda’s natural heritage and boosting the country's tourism profile on the global stage.
The King, accompanied by his delegation, was warmly welcomed and briefed by UWA's Senior Manager for Tourism and Business Development, Stephen Sanyi Masaba, and the Acting Chief Warden at Bwindi, Bwire Isaiah. The briefing focused on the park's critical conservation efforts, emphasizing the importance of sustainable tourism.
This royal tour comes shortly after the King’s visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park, reflecting a deliberate and strategic commitment to spotlight Uganda’s rich biodiversity and natural beauty.
