Nicolette International School Excels at Owlypia Competitions, Secures Global Qualification

Nicolette International School showcased outstanding academic prowess at the recently concluded Owlypia Competitions – Local Round, held on March 8, 2025 at Aga Khan International School.

Owlypia, an internationally recognized academic challenge, provides students with an opportunity to sharpen their critical thinking, problem-solving, and intellectual abilities.

This year’s competition centered on the theme “Analytical Thinking: Navigating Complexity,” challenging students to apply logic, creativity, and reasoning to address complex issues.

Representing Nicolette International School were two teams of ambitious students who exhibited remarkable confidence, analytical skills, and teamwork across multiple challenges, including the Impromptu Challenge, Knowledge Challenge, Team Spirit Challenge, and Speech Craft Challenge, where our students emerged as the best overall performers.

Competing against top-performing students from various international schools across the country, Nicolette managed to secure an impressive six medals across different categories: three gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze medal.

This incredible achievement has earned the students a prestigious opportunity to represent the school on a global stage, with upcoming rounds set to take place in Cambridge, UK (September 2025), and Abu Dhabi, UAE (October 2025).

Amos Ogola, Head of the English Department at Nicolette International School praised their remarkable achievements, stating:

The students who earned recognition at the Owlypia Competitions and have now qualified for the global rounds are: Israel Nimurungi, Tendo Kasule Kibirige, Taesha Lloyd Bethany, Shalom Joy Zaake, Tarteel Khalid Ahmed, and Eliana Favour Ainembabazi.
