The visit comes at a time when Kabaka clarified the allegations that Buganda had intentions to break away from Uganda.
President Yoweri Museveni has today hosted His Majesty the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II at Nakasero State Lodge.
Museveni disclosed in a tweet on his page that the discussion focused on matters of mutual interest.
His Majesty was in the company of Owekitibwa Charles Peter Mayiga , the Katikkiro of Buganda kingdom and Prince David Wasajja.
The visit comes three days after the Kingdom of Buganda asked government to go slow on the issue of the mailo land reform. Buganda Prime Minister Charles Peter Mayiga said that Uganda’s land problems do not stem from the mailo land tenure system but rather from the inactive laws.
Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi also refuted allegations that Buganda has intentions to break away from the rest of Uganda.
