Kainerugaba impressed by Sugar factory in Bugiri
The Land forces commander was paying a courtesy visit to the newly constructed Bugiri sugar factory that’s expected to create of 5000 jobs for locals.

The Commander of the Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) Land Forces Lt.Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba commended the proprietors of Bugiri Sugar Company Limited for supplementing the government efforts in job creation.
Muhoozi was invited by the company proprietors to tour the yet to be completed sugar factory located in Kapyanga sub-county in Bugiri district.
Kainerugaba commended the investors for empowering the community by partnering with over the 5000 out growers, which he believes will offer Job opportunities as well as increase the country’s country receipts
The Factory directors Yash Patel, Bruce Musinguzi and Elison Karuhanga told Kainerugaba that thousands of residents will benefit from the multi-billion investment both directly and indirectly.
Stephen Bakka Mugabi, the Bukooli North Member of Parliament revealed that the factory will relieve farmers who have been grappling with falling prices of sugarcane in the region.
The factory which will begin commercial production this year, is under construction, on a 60 acres piece of land in Bugubo Village.
