Miss Tourism Uganda De-crowns 2022 Second runner up, Ayebare Denise
The Miss Tourism beauty pageant has terminated the contract of last year’s 2nd runner up, Miss Ayebare Denise with immediate effect.
The cancellation was based on grounds of absentia in all the pageantry activities which led to breaching the contract agreement by Miss Ayebare, the management noted through a letter circulated on their official social media networks.
“Under clause 1 of the agreement (signed on 22nd September 2022), you undertook to be readily available and willing to offer your services and presence in any functions, events, public appearances and other promotional activities as may be required.” The document states.
“Following our notice of the breach on 5th January 2023, we have hardly seen your involvement in Miss Tourism activities, despite several verbal invitations to do so, which contravenes contract clause 1 of the contestant’s agreement.”

The letter adds that the project manager had duly informed the management of how Ayebare no longer had interest and they can proceed with de-crowning her.
“Pursuant to clause 7 of the agreement, we are withdrawing the pageant tittle from you and terminating the agreement.”
The management also instructed Miss Ayebare to return all prizes, gifts, and monetary awards granted to her within a period of 7 days.
Miss Tourism Uganda 2023 Grand finale is happening on the 9th September 2023 at Kampala Serena Hotel.
