Africa's celebrated investigative journalist and news anchor Solomon Serwanjja quits NBS TV
 
Solo as he is commonly referred to among his peers is set to leave  Next Media Services' NBS TV  at the end of July 2021.

Serwanjja joined Next Media Services in 2015 and has been a senior news anchor and investigative journalist with NBS Television.
He shocked millions of his fans on 13th July 2021, when he posted on his twitter account thay he is quitting NBS
 'On 31st  July, I will be leaving @nbstv. It has been such an honour to serve for the last 6 years. Thank you @KKariisa and the entire @nextmediaug family for the support. I will now focus on my new role as the Executive Director @AfricanIIJ, the home of investigative journalism'


Next media boss Dr Kin Kariisa  appreciated Solomon for his contribution to the media organisation in a tweet


'Thank you, Solo, for the great work that leaves a lasting mark on all of us at @nextmediaug. After seeing your work here, I have no doubt whatsoever that you will do great things as ED at @AfricanIIJ, and we look forward to great partnerships ahead. Farewell' Dr Kariisa posted in his twitter handle.

Serwanjja is notably one of Africa's finest investigative journalists,  he is know for popular investigative stories like 'Stealing from the sick' which he did in partnership with BBC Africa eye, 'Dark World of Drugs', 'Kifesi, the Gang terrorizing Kampala' among others.
