Kyabazinga hails President Museveni for supporting the development of tourism in Busoga.
The Kyabazinga of Busoga His majesty William Gabula Nadiope IV and the First Deputy Prime Minister Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga on Saturday competed in the Kagulu rock climbing challenge that attracted hundreds of Kyabazinga’s subjects.
After the Kagulu rock tour on Saturday, joyful Kyabazinga hailed the President for his support towards the construction of steps on the famous rock. To the Kyabazinga this will contribute to tourism development in Busoga Kingdom.

Upon arrival, the Kyabazinga who was welcomed by the Kingdom Prime Minister Joseph Muvawala the area Woman Member of Parliament Nakato Mary and the Kingdom’s Minister of Tourism Hellen Namutamba was led to the newly constructed steps at the rock which he officially launched them.
“Thank you Mr. President for this milestone, I also urge the people of Busoga to continue promoting culture, heritage and all activities like the Miss tourism Busoga beauty pageant that promote tourism in the region” Kyabazinga added.
Kagulu rock in Buyende district Busoga region Eastern Uganda is a 3500ft hill above sea level that was launched by the Busoga Tourism Initiative and Uganda Tourism Board in 2013 as an adventure in the region.
In her remarks, Kadaga urged the people of Busoga to promote community tourism, to rediscover their values and culture while promoting unity and hard work.
“We have plans of constructing a restaurant that will serve refreshments and also installing a cable car to take tourists at the top of the hill” Kadaga revealed during her speech
Rt.Hon Kadaga also crowned final runner-ups and Miss tourism Busoga region .
She rewarded the winners of Kakungulu rock climbing competition.
Kyabazinga handed over certificates of appreciation to various sponsors of the climbing challenge and later served his subjects present with a cake.
