Rolex festival happening today at Lugogo cricket oval

The annual Rolex Festival is happening today Sunday 21st August 2022 at Lugogo cricket oval.

Last week, the annual Ekkula tourism awards recognized Ms Enid Mirembe, a former  Miss Tourism Busoga and Founder of the Rolex Festival for the initiative 

Ms Mirembe while holding the Miss Tourism Busoga 2015 crown started up Uganda's popular street food, the Rolex festival aimed at marketing Uganda through her famous. She used the same platform to start the Rolex initiative that has since empowered a large number of young people.

Enid Mirembe is the unsung hero of the week as recognized by Ekkula Pearl of Africa tourism awards  because of her role in promoting Uganda and empowering young people.

The Rolex Initiative, which she founded, has grown into the Rolex Culinary Institute.

This institute has impacted approximately 80,000 people, especially the youth, through exhibitions, trainings, and skilling programs.
