3rd Uganda-Kenya Coast Tourism Conference Set to Boost Regional Tourism and Investment
The 3rd Uganda-Kenya Coast Tourism Conference is set to take place from November 9 to December 6, 2024, in a collaborative effort to enhance tourism potential and economic growth between Uganda and Kenya.
Organized by the Consulate General of Uganda in partnership with key tourism stakeholders from both nations, the conference aims to foster synergies, create new tourism packages, and boost investments in the region.
The conference, themed “The Uganda-Kenya Coast Tourism Partnership: Promoting Job Creation, Inclusiveness, and Sustainability,” will feature a comprehensive lineup of activities, including fam trips, excursions, exhibitions, and business-to-business (B2B) networking sessions.
The event will provide participants with firsthand experiences of the tourism offerings in both Uganda and the Kenya Coast, equipping them to better promote these destinations.
The primary goals of the conference are to develop a joint promotion strategy between Uganda and the Kenya Coast, increase awareness about the complementary tourism products offered by both destinations.
Also, strengthen relationships between key tourism players from Uganda and the Kenya Coast, address barriers and challenges to the Uganda-Kenya tourism partnership, explore investment opportunities in Uganda’s tourism sector, evaluate progress since the last two conferences, provide a platform for B2B networking, learning, and information sharing, promote the Entebbe-Mombasa route operated by Uganda Airlines, and utilize golf as a means to attract more tourists to both regions.
The event schedule includes fam trips in Uganda from November 9-18, 2024, a golf day on November 9, 2024, the main conference and exhibition on November 20-21, 2024, and excursions along the Kenya Coast from November 27 to December 6, 2024.
