Miss Tourism Uganda 2024/2025 Search Launched with Focus on Tourism and Peace
Miss Tourism Uganda 2024/2025 has been officially launched and will run under the theme "Tourism and Peace,"
The event promises to showcase the beauty and diversity of Uganda while promoting the importance of peace in fostering tourism growth.
The launch event witnessed the presence of esteemed guests, including the State Minister for Tourism, Hon. Martin Mugarra Bahinduka, who graced the occasion as the guest of honor. Other notable attendees included Sarah Kagingo, the Vice Chairlady of the Board of Directors at Private Sector Foundation Uganda, and past Tourism queens.

The management of Miss Tourism will embark on a journey across 12 regions of Uganda over the next five months, scouting for exceptional young women to serve as ambassadors of their respective regions at a national level.
The choice of theme for this year's pageant, "Tourism and Peace," underscores the integral link between peace and tourism development.
Aisha Nagudi, CEO of Miss Tourism, emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and harmony to ensure the sustainable growth of the tourism sector, urging stakeholders to work together towards this common goal.
Hon. Mugarra emphasized the importance of parental support and encouraged young women to participate in the pageant as a means of gaining valuable experience and knowledge.
"The competition offers contestants the opportunity to enhance their skills in tourism, marketing, personal branding, and leadership, empowering them to become effective ambassadors for Uganda's tourism industry." Min. Mugarra noted.
Regional winners will be tasked with promoting and marketing their respective tourism products through digital platforms, aligning with the theme of the pageant.
Road to the crown: The journey towards crowning Miss Tourism Uganda 2024 will culminate in a rigorous boot camp, where contestants will undergo intensive training in various disciplines, including tourism, communication, and personal branding.
The grand finale, scheduled for September 13, 2024, promises to be a spectacular event that will be held at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
Darling Uganda, one of the sponsors of the pageant, demonstrated its commitment to empowering young women by offering substantial support worth Shs80M and providing a car for the winner of Miss Tourism Uganda 2024.
