Church of Uganda, Bible Translators Uganda to Translate Bible for All Ugandan Languages

The Church of Uganda and The Word for the World Bible Translators (Bible Translators Uganda), have united to accelerate the translation of the Bible into every language spoken in the country.
The collaboration aims to ensure that every community in Uganda can understand and embrace the teachings of the Bible in their native tongue. It also seeks to foster a deeper connection to faith and spirituality among diverse groups across the country.
At a ceremony held at the Provincial Secretariat in Namirembe, Rev Canon William Ongeng, the Provincial Secretary of the Church of Uganda, highlighted the importance of making God's word accessible to all Ugandans, regardless of language barriers.
"Today marks a monumental step forward in our collective journey to ensure that the divine message of hope, redemption, and love is not just heard but understood by all," proclaimed Rev Canon Ongeng.
"Our resolve to touch lives through the sacred scripture knows no bounds, and this partnership exemplifies our dedication to realizing that vision." He added.
Through this partnership, the Church of Uganda and Bible Translators Uganda reaffirm their commitment to serving the spiritual needs of all Ugandans, promoting unity and understanding through the universal language of scripture.
